PACIFIC NORTHWEST BOAT CHARTERS
Pacific Northwest boat charters may take our boats anywhere in the “inside” waters of British Columbia and the American state of Washington. This area includes all of Puget Sound, the Strait of Juan de Fuca as far west as Cape Flattery and the waters inside Vancouver Island as far north as Port Hardy. Check the map for a full colour detail of popular cruising destinations within the coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest.
The Pacific Northwest boat charters cruising area generally covers the San Juan Islands in Washington State, and British Columbia’s Southern Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Jervis Inlet, Princess Louisa Inlet, Desolation Sound and Vancouver Island. The area in B.C. also includes the beautiful waters around the Northern Gulf Islands and the Redonda Islands, as well as the incredible fords along Bute and Toba inlets.
Just south of the US/Canada border, this group of islands offer a sheltered body of water with every possible convenience a yachtsman could wish for including resorts, swimming pools, marinas, shopping, craft markets, art galleries, museums and dozens of restaurants for shore-side dining.
The Northern Gulf Islands are a little more remote and quiet than their southern partners, and offer boaters peaceful marine parks, beautiful beaches, warm water and a wide variety of wildlife viewing.
These islands are a continuation of the San Juan Island chain but north of the international border. The islands are less developed than their American counterparts, but every bit as scenic. There is less marine traffic as well, so the cruiser has the opportunity to enjoy a little more solitude while still enjoying the benefits of being close to the several small towns in the Islands.
Often overlooked by cruisers on their way to Desolation Sound, this area offers both, bustling marinas and charming waterside restaurants combined with totally secluded anchorages in hundreds of little coves and protected inlets.
Louisa Inlet and Chatterbox Falls (at the head of Jervis Inlet) are world-famous for their scenic beauty. Jervis Inlet slices deep into the beautiful Coast Mountain Range.
Considered by knowledgeable yachtsmen to be one of the top three cruising areas in the world (the other two being Fiji and New Zealand’s Bay of Islands). Famous for calm, sheltered waters, oysters, clams, prawns, and for salmon up to 60 lbs. Actually salmon and cod are plentiful throughout our entire cruising area.
This group of lesser-known islands lies between Campbell River and the British Columbia mainland — a cruising area adjacent to Desolation Sound with some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
